Car dealer Joe Glauning goes missing from a camp site in the area of the German-Dutch border – leaving behind his personal documents, keys and mobile. Traces of blood imply that violence was used. Investigating the mysterious case confronts border police Chief Inspector Thorsten Falke with a moral abyss and takes him to the Netherlands. He is assisted by the gifted cyber-specialist Mario Schmitt and the Dutch Inspector Lynn de Baer.
