Neshoma by Sandra Beerends has won the FOCAL award for Best Use of Footage in a History Feature.
Neshoma** brings between-the-wars Amsterdam to life via archival material — much of it from the Eye Filmmuseum collection — and the fictional story of Rusha, inspired by testimonies of the Jewish community. The film is produced by Family Affair Films and sales are handled by AUTLOOK Filmsales.
The documentary world premiered at IDFA at the end of last year.
