REM SLEEP explores the human condition, particularly that in the Middle East, where themes of suffering, war and death are daily realities. The film is based on my dreams and personal experiences as a Syrian refugee.
REM SLEEP examines the human condition through the lens of war, suffering, and death in the Middle East. Inspired by my dreams and personal experiences as a Syrian refugee, the film also touches on the 2013 Al Tadamon massacre. Using symbolism and an intuitive narrative, the film raises existential questions about life, death, and the search for meaning.
