The Wolf, the Fox & the Leopard by David Verbeek will celebrate its world premiere at the 24th Tribeca Festival in New York City, which runs 4 to 15 June. It’s the ninth feature by writer-director David Verbeek, who previously gained international recognition with films such as R U There (Un Certain Regard, Cannes 2010), How to Describe a Cloud (Rotterdam 2013) and Full Contact (Toronto International Film Festival 2015, Rotterdam 2016).

In The Wolf, the Fox & the Leopard a feral young woman raised by wolves is captured and thrust into modern society, only to be rescued by a radical couple who isolate her on an abandoned oil rig. But as she uncovers the lies of her new “parents”, she is forced to stand on her own two feet and ultimately decide whether to integrate into society or return to the wild.

Besides Jessica Reynolds (Kneecap, Lifehack, Derry Girls), lead roles are played by Nicholas Pinnock (For Life, Long Bright River, This Town), Marie Jung (Songs Within, Capitani, Egon Schiele), Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen (Dark, Desperate Journey, Borgen) and Japanese filmmaker and Cannes regular Naomi Kawase (Sweet Bean, Still the Water, Radiance).
