In an attempt to cheer up her dementia-stricken father, Karina causes a massive crash during the opening stage of the Tour de France.
: In an ultimate attempt to cheer up her dementia-stricken father, Karina (55) completely steps out of her comfort zone, by travelling to a hill in France, in hope of appearing on television with an encouraging message for her father. However, she is completely unprepared for the circus that is the Tour de France, and when the first riders and camera crews pass by, she seizes her chance. Stepping onto the road, she tries to push her sign into view of the camera's. But by doing so, she takes an extra step into the road. The consequences of that final step are disastrous because her sign hits the front rider, causing him and then the entire peloton, to crash to the ground. In a haze of panic and guilt, she grabs a bike from one of the fallen riders and cycles down the mountain, away from the debacle. But she doesn't get far and is apprehended by the police.
