A 23 minute exploration through the mind of Dalwin who lives in total solitude. He experiences life within the confines of his apartment. While overly preparing for the expected doorbell, he awaits his groceries delivery.
Korstmos is a VR experience about boundaries and social isolation. We follow the protagonist Dalwin de Paauw over a period of approximately 23 minutes, precisely the time it takes for his groceries to be delivered. Dalwin is a man who rarely leaves his apartment and has no friends. We see him peeping at his neighbor and feeding his fish, all within the tiny universe of his social housing apartment. And when your life is so small, every little thing becomes significant. We face the dread of the upcoming encounter with the grocery delivery guy together with Dalwin, with impending doom. Korstmos is a technical exploration of the boundaries that define life and the boundaries within the inherently boundary-less medium of VR. With music and sound design by Spinvis.
