Still: Pink Moon - Floor van der Meulen

An innovative initiative from Unifrance with support from Creative Europe MEDIA program, MyMetaStories is a unique European short and feature film festival offering a two-fold digital experience.

Firstly, on mainstream online platforms: the festival platform MyMetaStories.eu, as well as approximately 20 partner VoD platforms, both local and worldwide. A selection of 20 films (7 feature films and 13 short films) is presented, previously shown at the biggest international festivals by directors from countries all over Europe. Dutch feature Pink Moon by Floor van der Meulen is part of this programme. Her debut feature film follows a girl named Iris.  When her father unexpectedly announces he has had enough of life, she is forced to face the absurdity of the situation and looks to find a way to deal with her father’s last wish. It is produced by Keplerfilm (sales: Urban Distribution International).

Secondly, in the metaverse, on the video game platform Minecraft®, where festivalgoers can enjoy the MyMetaStories experience in a universe specifically created for this unique event dedicated to European filmmaking and accessible in English, French, and Spanish. For the first time ever, screenings in the first virtual movie theatre are created in Minecraft®, mini-games about the selected films are played, and meet ups with young movie buffs and gamers from all around the world are organized.
