Erik Glijnis is Dutch Producer on the Move

He joins European Film Promotion's hybrid promotion and networking platform

Erik Glijnis is selected to represent the Netherlands at European Film Promotion's (EFP) networking platform Producers on the Move before and during the Cannes Film Festival (May 16 - 27).

Erik Glijnis is producer at Lemming Film (NL/BE/DE), where he focuses on feature films. Erik graduated with a bachelor of economics, before studying production at the Netherlands Film Academy in Amsterdam. He has the ambition to work on projects that are unique in storytelling and cinematography; his productions have been classified as experimental and groundbreaking and at the same time have reached a wide audience. 

Erik has (co-)produced critically acclaimed films such as documentary Stranger in Paradise* by director Guido Hendrikx (2016, IDFA opening film), which was nominated for Best Documentary at European Film Awards, Rheingold** by Fatih Akin, Pleasure** by Ninja Thyberg (2020, Cannes Official Selection, Sundance), My Giraffe** by Barbara Bredero (2018, Berlinale Generation Kplus), Berlin Alexanderplatz** by Burhan Qurbani (2020, Berlinale Competition), Dead & Beautiful** by David Verbeek (2021, IFFR), Met Mes** by Sam de Jong (2022, IFFR Tiger competition) and Shariff Korver’s Do Not Hesitate** (2021, Tribeca). He has also worked on Amat Escalante’s Lost in the Night**, which is set to world premiere in Cannes.

Currently the Dutch producer has several feature films in post-production, among which Sweet Dreams** by Ena Sendijarevic, Milk** by Stefanie Kolk, Chocobar* by Lucrecia Martel, Above the Dust** by Wang Xiaoshuai and Kalak** by Isabella Eklöf.

Erik Glijnis is part of a group of in total twenty of the most dynamic emerging producers from across Europe, who have been selected to participate in EFP’s Producers on the Move. They will take part in a tailor-made programme (online May 2 - 4 and on-site in Cannes May 18 - 22), set up to foster international co-productions, intensify the exchange of experiences and help create new professional networks. The programme includes 1:1 speed meetings, roundtables, pitching sessions, case studies, network events and an extensive promotional campaign.
