Dutch Film Talents to Cannes 2022
A group of film making talents from the Netherlands and Belgium go to Cannes Film Festival 2022
Film Talents to Cannes is a special training and networking programme for selected filmmakers organized by CineSud during Short Film Corner | Rendez-Vous Industry. SFC | Rendez-Vous Industry, a forum dedidated to short filmmakers, takes place May 23 – 27 at the heart of the Marché du Film and aims to promote emerging talents and facilitate the interactions between the creation and the industry.
Film Talents in Cannes 2022
The Cinesud Talents to Cannes participants will be put in the spotlight and they will get the chance to meet film professionals and other emerging filmmakers from around the world and also attend workshops and masterclasses of SFC | Rendez-Vous Industry.
The following filmmakers from the Netherlands and Belgium are selected for CineSud | New Dutch Talent to Cannes 2022:
- Niels Bourgonje (scriptwriter & director) – Shut
- Catherina Iosifidis (scriptwriter & director) - Amy & May
- Jack Goessens (director) - Everyman
- Nicole Jachmann (scriptwriter & director) - Funkele
- Jet Kragt (scriptwriter & director) - Blue Rain
- Rudi Brekelmans (director) - Sex Sells
- Tim Ewalts (scriptwriter & director) - Undergrowth
- Leon Golterman (scriptwriter & director) - Aeronaut
Besides the directors mentioned above, two filmmakers who won the CineSud Film Pitch in 2019 will also join the program:
- Charlotte Driessen (producer, Producers Lab 2019-20 participant)
- Karsten de Vreugd (scriptwriter & director, ScriptLab 2019-20 participant)
