Because of his uncompromising behaviour, Paul Blanca, one of the most important photographers in the Netherlands, is in danger of disappearing into obscurity.

A film about the photographer Paul Blanca, who after a lifetime of drug and alcohol abuse died at the age of 62 in October 2021. In a possibly futile attempt to save a fading life from an inglorious demise, filmmaker Ramón Gieling filmed Paul Blanca on what turned out to be his last journey. With the camera we witness Blanca's struggle against the transience of his body and the inexorable passing of time. Until finally only photos remain.
