Emma Westenberg's debut feature presented at online edition of the festival from 29 April - 19 May
Emma Westenberg's debut feature Stranger's Arms will celebrate its world premiere at Indy Film Fest, Indianapolis.
Stranger's Arms is produced by Halal in co-production with Claire Read (US) and Valerie Kamen (US).
Stranger's Arms intertwines stories based on real events with a fictional plot for a hybrid scripted-docu, filmed on Long Island, NY. Three young friends on the brink of adulthood reunite in their home town one summer and decide to spend their days investigating a mysterious unsolved murder that rocked the town in the 80s. Their amateur investigation proves fruitless but nevertheless brings them closer to finding out the truth about themselves, as well as uncovering some disturbing realities about the culture and characters of the town they grew up in.
