Easter Eggs selected as EFA short film candidate at Berlinale

At the 2021 Berlinale the International Short Film Jury, including the Egyptian artist Basim Magdy, the Austrian cinematographer Christine A. Maier and the German actor Sebastian Urzendowsky, selected Easter Eggs*), a co-production between Animal Tank (BE), Ka-Ching Cartoons (NL) and Miyu Productions (FR) as the Berlin Short candidate for the European Film Awards.

The animated short about the two friends Kevin and Jason trying to catch an exotic bird that escaped from a Chinese restaurant is directed by Belgian director Nicolas Keppens.

The short film selection and nomination procedure of the  European Fim Awards is organized by the European Film Academy and EFA Productions in co-operation with a series of film festivals, among others the Berlinale. At each of these festivals, an independent jury presents one of the European short films in competition with a candidacy in the short film category of the European Film Awards. In September 2021 the winner will be chosen by the all the EFA members and presented at the 34th European Film Awards Ceremony in Berlin.
