A dangerous intruder gives Pilar the chance to discover the wild animal within, and the means to escape the post-apocalyptic village she lives in.
In this hand-painted animation a post-apocalyptic desolate village is slowly being re-claimed by nature. Pilar and her only companion Baldr have barricaded themselves from the outside world, keeping out an unknown threat. Pilar feels trapped in their safe haven and longs to explore the mysterious and dan-gerous wilderness, though she feels unsure on how to act on this desire. One day, their safe haven is once more disturbed and they catch and kill the in-truder: a huge feral Markhor. When Pilar starts to skin the animal she embraces a hidden connection between her and the organic world and lets herself finally transform into the wild and free animal she always wanted to be. Baldr, in his fear of losing Pilar, attempts to stop his friend from escaping, but Pilar breaks through the barrier, leaving him and urban life behind.
