Patterson Pepps and his best friend Raf were born on exactly the same day. But on Patterson’s first day at school Raf cannot join him, because Raf is a giraffe - and giraffes have to stay in the zoo. Gradually Patterson finds he is enjoying school more than he ever expected and even makes a new friend: Eduard. Raf, however, feels very left out. Fortunately, Patterson comes up with a plan to bring Raf to school and to unite the giraffe with his new friend.
