This immersive experience explores the ocean through the layered memories of coastal communities and fascinating sensory worlds of marine life. The journey challenges human-centered narratives, offering a multispecies understanding of oceans as living, interconnected systems. DEMARÉ fosters a renewed connection with the ocean as a vital force shaping our planet's rhythms. By weaving together human and more-than-human perspectives, it cultivates a profound sense of belonging and interdependence—reminding us that the ocean's fate and our own are inextricably linked. This ambitious project emerges from a Dutch-led collaboration between Presencias (NL–BR) and FilmArcades (NL), with German co-production partner Actrio Studio. Currently in development with Immerse/Interact grant support, DEMARÉ benefits from partnerships with the Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research, Wageningen University's Experimental Zoology Group, Liminal Creations Collective, and MIT's Co-Creation Studio Worlding Program. The project has gained international recognition through selections at the Venice GAP-Financing Market (La Biennale di Venezia, 2024), Geneva Digital Market (GIFF 2024), Rotterdam's Impulse XR Program (2024), and most recently at the MIFA Pitches – Annecy 2025.
