Günter, found in the German woods as a four-year-old boy, grows up in a foster family. Four decades later he leads a normal life. He makes a living as a stage actor, spends time with his daughter Lizzy, has an affair with a married woman. But when a man on a bridge whispers a single word in his ear, he starts to wonder about his origins.
