A film that tells the story of youth criminality in Amsterdam through the testimonies of mothers.
In a hybrid documentary, Nirit Peled shows the influence of Amsterdam's data-driven crime prevention program on the lives of the mothers of young boys who are on the Top 400 list. These stories tell us about motherhood and love, about their daily challenges, and the powerlessness they feel as they watch their sons slide into crime. We learn that once their sons are listed, the lives of the mothers undergo dramatic change, and how they feel they are held hostage by aid organizations, the police and youth care.
